Law students are needed to help staff weekly clinics, which occur on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons. This is a minimal commitment – orientation is about 2 hours and can be scheduled around the student’s schedule. Clinics last 2-3 hours, and students can volunteer for as many or as few as they like. Even once or twice a semester or during summer is helpful. Students may choose to help with client meetings or with follow up research/investigation of cases (or both). Most cases involve court fines or re-licensing issues, criminal warrants, family law, immigration or child support.
