Under current Immigration Law, children are not entitled to legal representation in deportation proceedings. In fact, 50% of children arriving in the U.S. have no one to represent them in court. These unrepresented children are five times more likely to be deported back to danger. Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) is committed to representing unaccompanied immigrant and refugee children in their deportation proceedings to ensure that no child stands in court alone.
